Mrs. Rhonda Nadine Scott, 66, passed away on February 5, 2026, in Columbus, Ohio. Born on August 8, 1959, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Rhonda brought light and laughter into the lives of all who knew her.
Rhonda was educated in the Philadelphia public school system and graduated from South Philadelphia High School in 1977. From a young age, she demonstrated a deep compassion for others—a quality that would define her life’s work. She dedicated many years to serving the disabled community, working tirelessly to ensure their needs were met with dignity and care.
On April 8, 1984, Rhonda was baptized at Little David Baptist Church in Philadelphia, marking a spiritual milestone that remained central throughout her life. After relocating to Columbus, Ohio, she became a devoted member of Anointed Touch Ministries International under the leadership of Pastors Ronald and Sharon Wade. Her faith was a guiding force and source of strength until her health began to decline.
Rhonda’s vibrant personality made her unforgettable. Known as the life of the party, she had an infectious laugh and a boisterous spirit that drew people in wherever she went. She had a passion for beauty and self-expression—she loved doing hair and makeup and could often be found browsing thrift stores for unique clothing treasures. Her appreciation for black art reflected her deep cultural pride and artistic sensibility.
Above all else, Rhonda cherished her family. She is survived by her loving husband Brad Scott; her son Taji Scott; and her father Pastor Henry Linder (Sylvia). Grandchildren Antwan Mott and Ayedn Scott. Siblings Reginald Mack, Cheryl Marshall, Sheila Johnson (Bishop Daniel Johnson), Dawn Harcum (Darren Harcum). Nephews Korey Marshall, Colin Marshall and Lamar Witherspoon. Nieces Malaya Watson (Eric Watson), Shaddai Merritt, Bettina Merritt. Special Friends Terrie Lee Waymer, Carol Richardson and Karla Mattox.
She was preceded in death by her mother Constance Linder; father Lawrence Witherspoon; and daughter Yri Scott.
Rhonda Nadine Scott will be remembered for the joy she brought into every room and the love she gave so freely. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
